MODERNISIM OF JULIUS SHILMAN.

Julius Shilman which influenced Californian modern architecture died at 98 today 1910-2009. In his architectural career he was well known for his photography and some of his grotesque architectural pieces like the "chicken building" to his geometrical perspectives of the "Occidental Building" he also published a book called VISUAL ACOUSTICS. I, coming from an architectural background, still perusing my education at Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-ARC) in DTLA am familiar to most of his work. Besides Frank Gehry and Eric Owen Moss I am and still influenced by Julius Shilmans work. Just thought I should share the news. As Frank Lloyd Wright would say...

"Tip the world over on its side and everything loose will land in Los Angeles..."

what a "melting pot" we live in....
