SUMMER, SUMMER, SUMMER TIME...
Since summer is around the corner I felt that it was appropriate to post up a read about what most folks do in the summer time. Hit the beach. These photos may look a bit familiar to you if you folks read the article a few months back. It was accidentally deleted and I found them and that is exactly why I'm going to have to blog it again for those who haven't read it yet.
Anyways I met up with Pro-Surfer Jeff Parker at the Standard Hotel in Los Angeles, Jeff grew up in Venice Beach in the early 80's and was in that era on surfboarding and skateboarding, he was one of the first riders under the California brand, Quicksilver. I guess you can say he is one of the "O.G's" in surfing.
All photos are taken by Jeff Parker himself.
Andy Warhol.
Here are some of the few first pieces made by Quicksilver.
Not to mention he was one of the zombies in Micheal Jackson's Thriller.

EIGHT OH FIVE.
We finally squeezed in the time to head out to the Tradition Boutique in Westlake Village 805 area. Yes, it was a hell of a drive, but it was well worth it. As far as chopp'n it up with the good folks Jason and Nola at the shop, there is a vast selection of goodies that they carry. Not to mention its all "Purple and Gold" up in there.
VP has recently dropped off the Spring line and its going out fast on both Ventura and Westlake locations.
Meet Nola to the left, Nola came from ALIFE when they were still here in Los Angeles. Now she is behind the show case at Tradition. Jason to the right is the "Big Kahuna" with his partner Drew behind the shop, when you folks are out there shopping these good folks will take care of you.

and this is a shrimp tempura roll. Chopp'n it up..literally.
Anyways Villany Product Summer and Spring line 2nd drop is around the corner, stay tuned...

SUNSHINE STATE.
Even though our woman's line has some prestigious designs, they have yet to be known to the public. We haven't been pushing as strong as we should for the line, but here is a glimpse on one of my favorites. Available online HERE

STREETS OF VENICE.
We met up with Anthony at his shop Streets of Venice and had a really good meeting upon how his shop was established. On the skate core side of the picture the walls display historical skateboard decks form the Dog Town era owned by Anthony's partner Dan which has been skating since the beginning when empty swimming pools and water compressors was the trend to hit up. Christian Hosoi's decks are some of my favorites. You will soon see VP retailed here soon be sure you stop by.
Neck Face decks with Baker Skateboards are keepers.
Jun Cha's shoe release with Circa "The Black Tear", to bad we could make it for the opening reception.
We had just left the shop before The Daggers Crew went up to shred the in store half pipe.
